Mrs Betty Jo Fitzgerald Skelley

Betty Jo Fitzgerald Skelley, 75, resident of Knob Creek Road, died Friday, May 13, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Darrell Trimble and Theodore Durham officiating. Burial will follow in McKee- Jamison- Rountree Cemetery with Howard Vosburgh officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Davidson County native was the daughter of the late Oscar Howard Fitzgerald and Madaline Trimble Fitzgerald. On April 3, 1959 she married Melvin Robert Skelley who preceded her in death on August 21, 1997. Mrs. Skelley was a faithful member of Fairview Church of Christ. m Her civic and community activities included membership in Maury Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, Theta Community Club, FCE (Family, Community & Education Club), and Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include her sons, Ronnie (Christie) Skelley and Tim (Gay) Skelley, both of Columbia; grandchildren, Allison (Drew) Love, Dustin Skelley, and Desirae Skelley, all of Columbia; great-grandchild, Rylen Love of Columbia; sisters, Donna (Willard) Murphy and Carolyn (Tom) Jarratt, both of Columbia; nieces and nephews, Monica (Wally) Cox, Michael Jarratt, Ricky Skelley, Connie Warf, Mike (Linda) Wall, David (Pam) Wall, all of Columbia; Dennis Skelley of Chapel Hill; Richard (Sheila) Warf of Nashville; sisters-in-law, Ruth Wall and Jean Warf, both of Columbia; and brother-in-law, Clyde (Billie Ann) Skelley of Columbia. Active pallbearers are Drew Love, Dustin Skelley, Michael Jarratt, Tom Jarratt, Willard Murphy, Carter Campbell, Dean Campbell, and Clyde Skelley. Honorary pallbearers include the men of Fairview Church of Christ.
