Mrs Faye Biffle Walker

View Funeral Webcast Faye Biffle Walker, 82, resident of Biffle Lane in Hampshire, died Monday, May 23, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Rock Jaggers officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Pisgah Cemetery Association, c/o Billy Walker, 4161 Biffle Lane, Hampshire, TN 38461. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hampshire native was the daughter of the late William Walker Biffle and Charlotte Akin Biffle. She was a 1946 graduate of Hampshire High School and attended Columbia Business College. On September 25, 1948 she married William E. Walker, Sr. who preceded her in death November 21, 2001. Mrs. Walker was a member of the Maury County Farm Bureau, a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed working on family genealogy. She was a member of Hampshire United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Annette Walker (John) Allen of Franklin; a son, William E. "Billy" Walker, Jr. of Hampshire; three granddaughters, Jenny Allen (Paul) Womack of Pegram, Julia Allen of Atlanta, Georgia, Hannah Walker of Hampshire; a grandson, Allen Biffle Walker of Hampshire; two great-granddaughters, Taylor Faye Womack and Charlotte Grace Womack both of Pegram; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Jane Chappell Walker and by a brother, Floyd Ray "Scratch" Biffle. Pallbearers will be David Bridgeforth, Paul Womack, John Allen, Kenny Cecil and John Thomason. Members of Hampshire United Methodist Church will serve as both pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
