February 26, 1933 — June 3, 2011

Joyce Lee Sargent Moore, 78, resident of Bigbyville Road, died Friday, June 3, 2011 at Life Care Center of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday at Oakes & Nichols with her son, Rev. Stephen C. Moore officiating. Burial will follow in McCains Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 4205 Hillsboro Pike, Suite 216, Nashville,TN 37215. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Sara Mildred Carpenter Sargent and the late Robert Lee Sargent. She was a 1951 graduate of Columbia Central High School. Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, ONeill D. Moore of Columbia; daughter, Marilyn Joyce Moore of Franklin; son, Stephen Charles Moore of Marion, Alabama; daughter-in-law, Mary Margaret Moore of Columbia; two sisters, Jean (Bill) Reischman of Columbia; Sue (Billy) Clark of Spring Hill; one brother, Billy (Faye) Sargent of Columbia; three grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Moore, Rachel Margaret Moore, and Hannah Ruth Moore, all of Columbia. She was preceded in death by one son, Roger O. Moore. Pallbearers will be Wayne Clark, Terry Sargent, Mike Reischman, Hal Holcomb, Ray Holcomb, Carter Moore, and David Moore.
