Myra Lorine Dial Young, 82, resident of Columbia, TN, and retired LPN for Dr. Thomas Dake’s Office, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Life Care Center of Columbia.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born September 13, 1942, in Columbia, TN, she was the daughter of the late Wallace H. Dial and the late Gladys Grey Dial. On January 10, 1989, she married the love of her life, Rick Young, who preceded her in death on March 13, 2024 after 35 wonderful years of marriage together.

She is survived by her step son, Clinton (Jessica) Young; step grandsons, Alexander Young and Lewis Young; and sisters, Katie Dial and Virginia (Jerry) Nichols.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters and two brother.

Active pallbearers will be Jerry Nichols, David Nichols, Clint Young, Lewis Young, Alexander Young, Mitchel Conner, and David Alderson.
