View Video TributeView Funeral Webcast Nancy Marie Brown Richardson, 70, homemaker and resident of Pawnee Trail, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 noon at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Carl May officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday after 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Lawrence County native was the daughter of the late Robert Sewell Brown and Rutha Creel Brown. As a young woman, Mrs. Richardson had worked in garment factories; but later elected not to work outside the home and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Berea Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of fifty-two years, J. W. "Shorty" Richardson of Columbia; three daughters, Sherry Wisdom, Vicki Elliott, and Tammy (Chris) Thurman, all of Columbia; one son, Jeff (Sherry) Richardson of Columbia; one sister, Betty Brown Crigger of Columbia; one brother, Doug (Janice) Brown of Columbia; brother-in-law, Virgil White of Columbia; two sisters-in-law, Joe Ann Hammox of Columbia; Jean Krause of St. Joseph, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Jason (Robyn) Wright, Jeremy (Jennifer) Stewart, Jennifer Elliott, Jessica (Todd) Baker, Jada Wisdom, Lea Richardson, Shayna Richardson (Antwan) Keels; two step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Brown White. Pallbearers will be Jeff Richardson, Chris Thurman, Jason Wright, Jeremy Stewart, Brian Hardison, Michael Franklin, and Blake Osborne.
