View Funeral WebcastMrs. Nina Mae Still Bailey, 97, died Friday, February 19, 2010 at her residence for many years on Green's Mill Road. The Bailey family invites their friends and neighbors to join them in a celebration of her life Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Rev. J. C. Christian and Rev. Milton Hicks will officiate. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery with her grandson, Gary Bailey, conducting the graveside service. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Bailey was the oldest surviving charter member of First Baptist Church. Her 54-year marriage to James Russell Bailey ended with his death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Harold Bailey. Survivors include daughters, Linda Bland of Spring Hill, Janice (Danny) Moser of Columbia, and Debbie Tomlin of Thompson Station; sons, Wayne (Betty) Bailey of Spring Hill, Marvin (Sharon) Bailey of Columbia, and Joe (Cheryl) Bailey of Spring Hill; grandchildren, Gary Bailey, Michael Bailey, Melissa Edwards, Glenn Bailey, Susan Hubbell, Vickie Parker, Monty Bland, Mark Bland, Rhonda Purtle, Julie Martin, Lori Brazil, John Moser, Chris Bailey, Brian Bailey, and Kim Hughes; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Active and inactive deacons and former ministers of First Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
