Mrs. Norma June Foster Savage, 78, retired Teacher's Aid and Secretary for Maury County Schools and resident of the Hampshire Community, died Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with David Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 3:00 - 7:00 P.M. and Sunday after 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was born June 30, 1935, the daughter of the late Brown Foster and Velma Horne Foster. She was a 1953 graduate of Columbia Central High School. Mrs. Savage was a member of Cathey's Creek Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Joe Sam Savage of Hampshire; two sons, Joe Gwynn (Shirley) Savage of Mt. Pleasant; Dwight Foster (Ronna) Savage of Hampshire; four grandchildren, Brian (Kiah) Savage, Holly (Eric) Runions, Sam Savage, Rachel Savage; two great grandchildren, Brysen Savage and Riley Joe Runions; and one aunt, Rachel Garrett. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Sloan Foster. Active pallbearers will be Dr. David Foster, Joe Foster, Randy Garrett, Ray Garrett, Brian Savage, and Sam Savage. Honorary pallbearers will be Nurse Practitioner Lori James, Barbara Dobbins, Jane Miller, and Elders and Deacons of Cathey's Creek Church of Christ.
