Olon Henry England, 73, retired dairy farmer and resident of Tom Littlejohn Road in the Leftwich Bridge Community, died Tuesday, June 21, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Van Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Morton Cemetery with military honors at graveside provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hickman County native was the son of the late John Groves England and Nissie Bradley England. Mr. England worked for the Lewis County Highway Department and served in the Tennessee National Guard. He was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Tammy England Summers and son, James Anthony "Tony" (Lisa) England, both of the Leftwich Bridge Community; sisters, Catherine Parrish and Marie (Austin) Tomlinson, both of Lewisburg; brother, Wayne (Bambi) England of Columbia; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank B. England. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
