Patricia Nichols Worrell

View Funeral Service WebcastMrs. Patricia Allene Nichols Worrell, 71, resident of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Cass County Regional Medical Center in Pleasant Hill. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Richard Williford officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Austin, Texas native was the daughter of the late Douglas Nichols and Helen Sanford Nichols. She was married to Dean L. Worrell who preceded her in death on March 10, 2002. Mrs. Worrell had worked in the newspaper business for many years as an editor and paste up artist. She had previously been employed by the L.A. Times, the Herald Examiner in L.A., the Dollar Saver in Hawaiian Gardens, California, and the Lumberman Exchange in Columbia. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include four sons, Daniel (Christy) Taylor, Sr. of Greenbrier, Sonny "Frank" Osborne of Pleasant Hill, MO, Dale Lynn Osborne of Columbia, Brian KelleyOsborne of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Patricia Elana Hartman of Kingsport, Nikki Worrell of Kansas City, MO; two step-sons, Dean LaVerne Worrell, Jr. of Hermitage, Ronald D. Worrell of Jackson; several adopted children; a brother, Jack Nichols of Lakewood, CA; sister, Judy Tejwani of Lake Forrest, CA; a generous amount of grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
