View Video TributePaulette Shouse Baxter, 57, resident of Miller Lane in the Santa Fe Community, died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Sandra Deal and Rev. Howard Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Paulette enjoyed her many cats and donkeys and while seeking permanent homes for them, it is requested that memorials be sent to Bruce Odom, 2499 Concord Church Road, Columbia, TN 38401 to help care for the animals that she loved dearly. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Van Buren "Buster" Shouse and Mary Pauline Miller Shouse. A 1975 graduate of Santa Fe High School, she attended Columbia State Community College and Middle Tennessee State University. After twenty-eight years employment at Willowbrook Home Health in Franklin, she was currently secretary at Morgan Brothers Electric, a cashier at PetSmart in Spring Hill, cashier for N. O. Potts Auction, and Sunday cook at Netts Country Store. She was a member of Hilltown Church of the Nazarene until its dismemberment and relocation. Survivors include one nephew, Christopher "Chris" (Carolyn) Bucy of Columbia; aunt, Mary Shouse (R.B.) Potts of Santa Fe; uncle, Howard Alexander of Santa Fe; and several cousins. Her extended family includes Brenda (Terry) Odom, Bruce Odom, Justin Odom, Sandra & Robert Deal, Tyler Deal, and co-workers at Willowbrook, PetSmart, and Morgan Brothers. She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Faye Bucy and nephew, Jason Bucy. Pallbearers include John Burke, Tyler Deal, Robert Deal, James Harlan, Dennis Alexander, and Alan Faulkner.
