Pauline Woodson Holt

View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Pauline Woodson Holt, 89, retired from PA Medical Supply Company and long-time resident of the Cross Bridges Community and later East 16th Street, died Saturday at Life Care of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Wayne B. Hardison and Steven Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Bridges Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born in Davidson County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Woodson and Frances Young Woodson. She attended Hume Fogg High School in Nashville and the Baptist Church for many years. On September 1, 1945 she married John Fleming Holt who preceded her in death August 24, 1973. Survivors include her daughter, Lucy Holt (Bud Paris) Spears of Columbia; sons, Charles (Fleeta) Holt of Culleoka and Gary (Pattie) Holt of Columbia; grandchildren, Darren (Beckie) Bobo of Columbia, Ramona (Clyde) Westmoreland of Columbia, John (Denise) Holt of Culleoka, Gayle (Ron) Blocker of Culleoka, Brian Holt of Columbia, Steven (Kaycee) Holt of Hamilton, Alabama; seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Albert "Rabbit" Spears; sister, Velma Spence; brothers, Preston Woodson, Robert Woodson, and Carl Woodson. Darren Bobo, John Holt, Thomas Holt, Ron Blocker, Clyde Westmoreland, Steven Holt, Brian Holt, Jeffery Sisk, Mike Johnson, and Jimmy Massey will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include staff of North Hall and the Alzheimer's Unit at Life Care of Columbia. The family especially thanks Wayne B. Hardison for his support, encouragement, and weekly visits during her illness.
