View Funeral WebcastPauline Johnson Loudermilk, 86, retired employee of Union Carbide, died Friday, February 12, 2016 at her residence on Cayce Valley Drive. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 12:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Elsey officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born August 20, 1929 in Neavitt, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William Johnson and Rose Haddaway Johnson. She was a graduate St. Michaels High School in St. Michaels, Maryland. Mrs. Loudermilk had also worked as a server at Stan's Restaurant at both Spring Hill and Bear Creek locations. As a young lady, she loved to dance and later enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, and helping her husband in farming. She was a member of West End Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of sixty-seven years, Howard T. Loudermilk of Columbia; daughters, Beverly (Gary) Estep of Ridgely, Maryland; Janet Loudermilk of Columbia; son, Robert Loudermilk of Easton, Maryland; sister, Brenda Johnson of Southport, North Carolina; grandchildren, Charles (Missy) Squires, Jr. of Greensboro, Maryland, Ann (Tim) Solomon and Penny (Robbie) Morris, both of Winchester; twelve great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Marie Johnson of Bozman, Maryland; brother-in-law, Wilson Andrews of Tilghman Island, Maryland; and special friends, Martha & Roy Cathey of Columbia. She was preceded in death by a brother, William "Billy" Johnson; and two sisters, Edna Rose Andrews and Molly Sheffer. Family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include retired employees of Union Carbide. The family wishes to express a special thank you to her devoted caregiver Linda Lamb, the staff of Caris Hospice, Dr. Ben Gardner, and Dr. Thomas Dake.
