Pauline Edwards Tinsley

Pauline Faye Edwards Tinsley, 81, resident of Kinzer Lane, died Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Mark Sartain officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 533, Columbia, Tennessee 38402. Notes of sympathy may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.Born August 20, 1933 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel B. Edwards and Cummie Sesler Edwards. On August 8, 1953 she married Alvin John Tinsley, Jr. who preceded her in death on November 25, 1994. Mrs. Tinsley was homemaker and had a great love for animals. She was of Baptist faith. Survivors include her five sons, Roger Dale (Dolly) Tinsley of Columbia, Danny John Tinsley of Austin, Texas, Garry Darrell (Blanca) Tinsley of Smyrna, Billy Roy (Deborah) Tinsley of Columbia, and Phillip Ross (Sherri) Tinsley of Franklin; a sister, Martha Edwards Sparkman of Theta; two brothers, Marvin Edwards and Harry Edwards both of Columbia; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
