Peggy Anne Mitchell Clarkson

Peggy Anne Mitchell Clarkson, 61, former resident of Mooresville and Franklin and widow of Charles W. "Chuck" Clarkson who died May 4, 2012, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at her residence in Dickson. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Lucas officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Malone Cemetery in Ardmore. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 3 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Lincoln County native was the daughter of the late Dalton Mitchell and Arnell Collins Mitchell and was a graduate of Cornersville High School. While her daughter was attending Culleoka Schools she was active in PTO and the Boosters Club. Mrs. Clarkson was a former employee of Mid-South Insurance Co. of Columbia and Chapell-Smith Insurance Co. of Franklin. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Thrasher (Greg) Hudgins of Centerville; grandchildren, Rachel Hudgins and Sidney Hudgins both of Centerville; brother, Jimmy (Patricia) Mitchell of Cornersville; mother-in-law, Allene Clarkson; step-children, Charlie (Rhonda) Clarkson of Franklin, Andy (Janet) Clarkson of Shelbyville, Allison (Nathan) Neal of Franklin; step-grandchildren, Chandler Clarkson, Kendall Clarkson, Kennedy Clarkson, Holston Neal, Hollis Neal; uncle, Spencer (Beth Ann) Mitchell of Cornersville; aunt, Inez Mitchell of Tony, Alabama; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Mitchell and Jerry Mitchell.
