View Video TributeView Funeral Webcast Reba Alice "Katie" Blocker Winchester, 79, died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at her residence on the Nashville Highway, Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Joe Macer officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 2 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Blocker and Annie Wilna Bishop Blocker. Mrs. Winchester was employed by Publix Manufacturing for twenty-seven years and retired as a supervisor. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, James Edward Winchester of Columbia; daughter, Brenda (Dane) Henderson of Spring Hill; grandchildren, Ginger Flatt of Mt. Juliet, Holly (Chad) Alsup of Pulaski, Farrah (Jamie) Clark of Huntsville, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Riley Grace Flatt, Savannah Alsup, Jackson Alsup, Gabriella "Gabi" Alsup, Parker Clark, Kaelee Clark; sisters, Edith Staggs of Memphis, Alma Massey of Cross Bridges, Rubye (David) Westmoreland of Columbia; brother, Ray Blocker of Mt. Pleasant; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Don and Betty Lunn of Columbia. She was preceded in death by brothers, Allen Blocker, Carl Blocker and Herbert Blocker. Active pallbearers will be Nick Westmoreland, Billy Staggs, Tommy Staggs, David Blocker, Michael Massey, Troy Ring and Jerry Blocker. The family would like to thank Dr. Steve Woodley, Dr. Kelly Snyder, Dr. Carey Barr and their offices and staff for their kindness and concern.
