Mrs. Rena Logue Erwin, 80, long-time resident of the Bigbyville Community and retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority, died Friday, March 3, 2000 at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Reverend David McGregor and Reverend Mike Dawson officiating. Burial will be in the McCains Churchyard. The family will visit with friends after 1 p.m. at the church. Oakes & Nichols is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia Lindsey Logue. She was a 1938 graduate of Culleoka High School. Mrs. Erwin was a member of McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Jane Knox Chapter, DAR, and Captain James Madison Sparkman Chapter, UDC. Survivors include her husband, Eugene H. Erwin of Bigbyville; sons, David M (Ruth) Erwin and Ronnie E. (Lynn) Erwin both of Columbia; a granddaughter, Mrs. Leif (Bethany) Johnson of Minneapolis, Minn.; sisters, Miss Ethelene Logue, and Mrs. Josephine Thoope both of Columbia; step-grandchildren, Emily Spitzer of Columbia; John Spitzer and Matt Spitzer both of Hohenwald; several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are Dean Erwin, Allen Foster, J.W. Foster, Joe Dennis Logue, Wayne Troope, Michael Williams, Richard Williams, Harold Wood, Louis Wood, Raymond Wood. Honorary pallbearers include McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Women, Nursing Staff of Dialysis Associates, Dr. Marek Kacki, and care-givers, Elaine Brown, Opal Cummings, Deloris Fleming, Christine Morgan, and Bonnie Sims.
