Richard Dale Burgess, 57, resident of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, August 14, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. No services are scheduled for Mr. Burgess. A native of Dothan, Alabama, he was the son of the late Jimmy Norman Burnette and Freida Evon Allen Burgess. Mr. Burgess served in the U. S. Army. Survivors include his adoptive father, James Earnest Burgess of Columbia; brother, Randall "Ronnie" Burgess of Columbia; sister, Tamra Jamesena of Columbia; several children; and several nieces and nephews.
