Rickey Allen Peden, 69, resident of Culleoka, died Sunday, May 11, 2025 at his residence.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Webb, Lori Primm and Cam Peden officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM and Thursday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.

Born November 22, 1955 in Maury County, TN, he was the son of the late George Allen Peden and the late Mary Jane Bassham Peden. On June 26, 1993 he married Teresa Charlene Lee Peden. He was the owner and operator of Peden Construction since 1997. Rickey’s hobbies included golfing, boating, rodeoing, duck hunting, and going to the beach. He attended Rock Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife of 31 years, Teresa Peden of Culleoka; he is survived by his children, Christopher “Kit” (Amber) Peden of Culleoka, Cameron (Jordan) of Portland, Maine, and Carly Peden of Culleoka; sisters, Sherry (Alan) Tate and Marsha (Terry) Hann both of Columbia; brother Jeff (Terri) Peden of Columbia; four grandchildren Tuff Peden, Olli Peden, Tallulah Peden, and Lane Peden; father in law and mother in law Charles and Judy Lee of Culleoka; uncle Carl (Willodean) Peden; several nieces and nephews; and his granddog Lizzy.

Active pallbearers will be Colton Wilson, Tim Lee, Adam Demastus, Wyatt Demastus, Ronnie Bates, Dustin Peden, Scott Tate, and Zack Tate. Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Shaw, Mike Luster, Charles Kuhn, John Williams, and the employees of Peden Construction.
