Ricky Vinson Wimberly, 51, resident of Howard Moore Lane in the Culleoka Community, died Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Tim McHenry officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. Born in Maury County, he was the son of the late Lillie Marie Skinner. He served in the U. S. Army for a short time and was a member of Culleoka Church of Christ. He was reared by his late grandparents, Jim Tom and Rosie Scott Skinner and is survived by their children whom he considered more brothers and sisters than uncles and aunts; Kathy Arzadon of Pulaski, Audrey Faye ((Jim) Savage of Smyrna, Larry W. (Bonita) Skinner of Dyersburg, John R. Skinner of Culleoka, William E Skinner of Unionville, Betty C. (Jerry) Cheek of Culleoka, Annie Jean Cannady of Unionville, Jim Frank (Agnes) Skinner of Williamsport, and Daisy Lee (Barney) Cannady of Culleoka; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Tommy Ray Skinner, Jr. of Pulaski. Uncles and cousins will serve as pallbearers.
