View Video TributeView Funeral WebcastMr. Rodney Porter Hardison, 40, employee of Peterbilt Motors died Thursday June 3, 2010 while working on his farm on B. Kerr Road. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Graymere Church of Christ with Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will follow in Morton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday after 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home and Sunday after 1:00 P.M. at the church. Memorials may be made to Pet Pals of Maury County, P. O. The Maury County native was the son of Arthur Calvin Hardison and Betty Cheek Hardison of Columbia. He was a graduate of Culleoka High School, attended Columbia State Community College and earned his Bachelors Degree at Tennessee Tech. An avid outdoorsman, Rodney enjoyed hunting, farming, working with cattle and his many beloved pets. He was a great fan of NASCAR and enjoyed working on cars. He was always willing to lend a helping hand with a happy attitude. He was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Alicia Brooks Hardison of Columbia; one sister, Cindy (Daryl) Tomlin of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, Rusty (Tonya) Hardison of Chattanooga; Ricky Hardison of Thompson Station; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bonnie and George Brooks of Mt. Pleasant; brother-in-law, Mark (Stephanie) Brooks of Rome, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Briant Cheek, Steve Brown, Casey Derryberry, Rusty Hardison, Ricky Hardison, Mark Brooks, Daryl Tomlin, and Clint Derryberry. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Hopkins, Dennis Mullins, Mark Gregory, Ronnie Pegram, Ed Brooks, Carl Brooks, and employees of Peterbilt Motors.
