View Video Tribute View Funeral Service Webcast Ronald Grady "Ronnie" Chapman, 59, resident of Hazelwood Road in Chapel Hill, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Marshall Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Washington officiating. Burial will follow in Hudgins Cemetery in Williamson County. The Columbia native was the son of Christine Haskins Chapman of Columbia and the late Houston Grady Chapman. He was a 22 year employee of the State of Tennessee Experiment Station in Spring Hill and later worked at Tyson Foods. Ronnie loved deer hunting, fishing, and enjoyed traveling to the beach and the mountains. He attended Lasea Baptist Church. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Peach Crafton Chapman of Chapel Hill; two daughters, Misti (Jeremy) Hall of Columbia, Christina Chapman of Chapel Hill; four step-children, Sara (Mike) McLeskey, William (Michelle) Crafton, John (Laura) Crafton, Andrew Crafton all of Chapel Hill; three sisters, Patricia (Ron) Gick and Kathy "Kat" (Tommy) Smith both of Columbia, Deborah Varner of Culleoka; one brother, Terry Chapman of Culleoka; eight grandchildren, Dakota Underwood, Devin Hall, T.J. Lester, Cameron Lester, Nicholas Blake Crafton, Davey Crafton, Jake Crafton, Bentley Crafton; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special aunt and uncle, Alice and Gary Redding. He was preceded in death by grandparents, George and Savannah Haskins, and Walter and Rose Chapman. Active pallbearers will be John Crafton, William Crafton, Andrew Crafton, Patrick Kelley, Jeremy Chapman and Cody Gidcomb. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Lasea Baptist Church, and all of his Hunting Buddies.
