View Funeral Webcast Charles Ronald Montgomery, 77, retired employee of Ford Glass Plant and resident of Leiper's Creek Road in the Santa Fe Community, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Jim Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Edgar Bernard Montgomery and Gladys Rebecca Haley Montgomery and graduate of Santa Fe High School. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Mr. Montgomery and his wife, Hazel Marie McCandless Montgomery, owned and operated Creekview Farms Bed and Breakfast for a number of years. Their 57 year marriage ended with her death November 25, 2009. Survivors include sons, Michael B. (Gloria) Montgomery of Franklin and Charles Allen Montgomery of Bon Aqua; daughters, Gwendolyn (Russell) Creager, Cheryl Jean (Steve) Stewart of Nashville; grandchildren, Michael Ray (Misty) Montgomery, Rebecca (Amos) Thompson, Mark (Teri) Montgomery, Jake Creager, Jessica (Russell) Hartline, Geoffrey Stewart, David (Laura) Nickens, Stephen Michael (Stephanie) Montgomery, Chelsea Hinegardner, Taylor Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Heather, and Wesley Thompson, Emma, Abby, and Haley Montgomery, Matthew and Olivia Nickens, and Braiden Hinegardner. Pallbearers are Robert Houser, Bobby Houser, Christopher Houser, Josh Potts, Wilford Potts, Marion Hill, Jason Hill, and Terry Clayton Estis.
