View Funeral Service WebcastView Video TributeMr. Roy C. Hill, 93, lifelong dairy farmer, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at his residence on Phinny Murphy Road in Culleoka. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with David Morris and Curtis Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 3 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late James A. Hill and Bertha Hill Hill. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Hill was a member of Highland Church of Christ where he was a former deacon and enjoyed church work. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Sarah Cochran Hill of Culleoka; sons, Ronnie (Mary) Hill of Baytown, Texas, Terry Wilkinson of Hampshire, Jarvis Hill of Columbia; daughters, Barbara (Glenn) Voss of Columbia, Connie (David) Olive of Rogersville, Alabama, Becky (David) Fortin of Columbia, Juanice Wilkinson of Missouri, Sherry Wilkinson of Mobile, Alabama, and Tina (Danny) Marcy of Columbia; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and sister, Mildred Coffman of Columbia. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilburn Hill and Dudley "L.D." Hill. Active pallbearers will be Jarvis Hill, Michael Olive, Matthew Olive, Adam Voss, Grant Voss, Jim Patterson and Johnny Boyd Cothran. Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Highland Church of Christ.
