Roy Eugene Jones, 78, a resident of Columbia, TN, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 12:00 pm until the service time at the funeral home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com

Mr. Jones was born December 22, 1947, to the late Eugene Jones and the late Pauline Sargent Jones Walton. He was united in marriage to Margaret Graham on May 5, 1974, and they shared 51 years together.

He was a dedicated and hardworking individual who retired from Union Carbide after fifteen years. He also enjoyed his time with Maury Regional Hospital, working in Central Supply before retiring from the Home Health Department.

In his younger years, he loved playing tennis, racing remote-controlled cars, and collecting albums. His love for music was evident in everything he did - there was always something playing. Roy had a lifelong passion for old cars. From photographing car shows to working on vehicles, he was always involved. Above all, he cherished his family and time spent with them, especially their yearly trips to the beach.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Graham Jones of Columbia; daughters, Amy (Mike) Masterson and Emily (Chad) Hoback; grandchildren, Micaela Masterson and Brady Hoback; brother-in-law, Eddie (Alyssa) Graham; niece, Courtney (Johnathan) Heller; and great-nephew, Logan Heller.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Graham, Mike Masterson, Brady Hoback, Johnathan Heller, Logan Heller, and Dave Westfall.
