Ruby Noveline Uptain Hindman, 83, a resident of Lynnville died Friday, October 25, 2024 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Tatham officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Ruby was born on June 29, 1941 in Leighton, Alabama to the late John Wesley Uptain and the late Orell Bibb Uptain. She was a retired hairdresser and owner of The Doll House Beauty Salon in Lynnville and a devoted member of First Assembly of God/ C1.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years Melvin Wright Hindman, Sr. of Lynnville; daughter and son in law Dina (Mike) Daniels of Lynnville; two brothers Wesley Uptain and Beal Uptain; four grandchildren Dara (Keith) Crabtree, Fara (Seth) Paul, Chad Brown, and Jordan Hindman; five great grandchildren Preslee Crabtree, Emeree Crabtree, Kade Brown, Isley Kate Hindman, and Rhett Paul; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Melvin Hindman Jr. in 1998 and her brothers Ray Uptain and David Uptain; sister Paula Uptain Chadwell.
Pallbearers will be Keith Crabtree, Seth Paul, Kevin Reed, Randy Goodwin, Allen Hayes, and Bill Yancey.
