View Video TributeMrs. Ruth Ann Hankins Tracy, 81, retired owner/operator of Columbia Health Foods, died Monday, May 13, 2013 at her home on Keg Springs Road in Hampshire. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Aleridge and Rev. Melinda Britt officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the church atrium. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church, The People's Table, 222 West Seventh Street, Columbia, TN 38401. A native of Rahway, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Harry Hankins and Charlotte May Hankins. In January 2013 she retired after thirty-one years as owner/operator of Columbia Health Foods. Mrs. Tracy served on the Board of the original homeless shelter, served as a Board member of the Maury County Arts Guild, and was an active volunteer at the Spring Hill Senior Center. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women, sang in the choir and also in the Ladies 3 trio. Survivors include her children, Jacquelyn (Kenneth) Davis of Hampshire, Debra Repperger of Cape Coral, Florida, Robin (Ed) May of Waverly, Peter Tracy of Mt. Pleasant and Douglas (Wanda) Tracy of Hampshire; grandchildren, Misty (J.W.) Gray, Kenneth Davis, II, Bethany Davis, Jefferson Davis, Christopher Davis, Colton Davis, Heather Tracy, Jaden Tracy, Crystal (Dean) Bazzle, Darrel Greer, Melinda (Aaron) Averhart, Graham (Kathy) Repperger, Brittany Kratzer, Douglas (Denise) Tracy, II, Lee (James) Hargrove, Jason (Adriana) Batchelder, Clayton Johns, Alex May; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Charlotte Duffy, Jeanne (Clyde) Applegate, Anna Mae (Ed) Murphy; and brothers, William Hankins and Kenneth Hankins. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chelsey Davis, great-granddaughter, Chasta Gray, son-in-law, Richard Repperger, sister, Margie Hankins and brothers, Richard Hankins, Walter Hankins and Robert Hankins.
