View Video TributeMr. Samuel Stacey Lunn, 75, left his loving family to join his Heavenly Father and his loved ones on Tuesday, July 23, at his residence on Old Port Royal Road in Spring Hill. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Dan Cottrell officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was born May 18, 1938 the son of the late Vera Penn Lunn and Ruby Cammuse Lunn. He was manager of Central Soya Farm Supply in Nashville for many years. He loved farming and later started wood working. There are many beautiful hand crafted pieces of furniture built by him in several homes in the area. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone and was known by friends to repair or fix most anything. He was a deacon and treasurer at Spring Hill Church of Christ for many years and later was a member of Southern Hills Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of fifty six years, Olivia Brown Lunn of Spring Hill; daughter, Suzanne (Bryant) Cheatham of Spring Hill; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Lunn of Spring Hill; sisters, Frankie (Stan) Pilkinton and Vera Sue (Ronnie) Riley both of Columbia; brother, Ronnie (Glenda) Lunn of Lynnville; sisters-in-law, Shelby Lunn and Bettye Brown both of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, David Lunn, brother, Alvin Lunn, parents-in-law, Floyd and Ruby Brown, step-mother, Sue Lunn, and brother-in-law, Norman Brown. Active pallbearers will be Bryant Cheatham, Ronnie Lunn, Richard Derryberry, Michael Brown, Mickey Fitzgerald and Jerry Wells. Honorary pallbearers include Homer Ring, Grady Jenkins and members of Southern Hills Church of Christ.
