View Video TributeSamuel Cantrell Sullivan, 94, retired antique dealer, carpenter, and farmer died Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his residence on Bear Creek Pike. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Gleaves and Rev. Danny McConnell officiating. Burial will follow in Sparkman Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Williamson County native was the son of the late James Carroll Sullivan and Viney Louella Davis Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan enjoyed working, gardening, and repairing lawnmowers. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife whom he married January 10, 1970, Mary Catherine Walker Sullivan of Columbia; daughters, Shirley Phifer of Ethridge; Glenda (M. D.) Henslee and April (Barry) Goad, both of Columbia; son, James C. "Teddy" (Ludean) Sullivan of Spring Hill; brother, Linden (Mildred) Sullivan of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Sherry Riddle, Cathy (Mark) Love, James "Gene" Sullivan, Calvin (Midge) Sullivan, Sam Fitzgerald, Tommy (Rachel) Fitzgerald, Regina (Lucky) Pelham, Marissa Goad, Colton Goad, Danny (Mary) Henslee, David (Michelle) Henslee; twenty great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Mildred "Tilly" Sullivan of Spring Hill. He was preceded in death by sons-in-law, Adron Phifer and Calvin Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Mike Phifer and Rebecca Hazelwood; great grandchild, James Andrew Fitzgerald; brothers, Isom Sullivan, William Sullivan, Gene Sullivan, Jadie Sullivan, Albert Tidwell; and sisters, Martha Mae Smith, Betty Lou Wakefield, Annie Lee Nall, and Joy LeMay. Pallbearers will be James "Gene" Sullivan, Calvin Sullivan, Sam Fitzgerald, Tommy Fitzgerald, Mark Love, Josh Riddle, Brandon Gibson, and Will Love.
