Sandra Demastus Henslee

Mrs. Sandra Gail Demastus Henslee, 69, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at her residence on Mooresville Pike. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Brother Danny McConnell officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. She was a homemaker who loved quilting and was an avid collector. She was a member of Zion Acres Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of fifty years, M.D. Henslee of Columbia, whom she married April 28, 1962; two sons, Dan (Mary) Henslee of California, David (Michelle) Henslee of Mt. Juliet; sister, Linda Anderson of Columbia; granddaughter, Brittney Henslee; grandsons, Chase Henslee, Justin Henslee, Chris Henslee, Seth Hallums; special friends Thomas and Brenda Curtin of Columbia; nephews, James (Melia) Anderson, Kirk (Pamela) Anderson; brother-in-law, Ronnie (Ruthie) Henslee of Mt. Juliet; one great niece, Caitrin Anderson; and one great nephew, Ryne Anderson. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Kirk Demastus.
