Sandra Lee Sherwood Stewart, 68, resident of Spring Hill, died Friday, March 13, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Ronnie Pennington officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to service time at the church. Burial will be in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Pegram at 9:00 a.m. Thursday. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Born in Ogden, Utah, she was the daughter of the late George Ray Sherwood and Esme Jean Sim Sherwood. Prior to moving to Columbia to make her home, Mrs. Stewart worked as a nurse's aid at Jackson Manor Lutheran Home and Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau, Missouri for a number of years. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Boyd Jerome "Jay" Stewart,whom she married March 10, 1967; children, Jean (Brad) Mouser of Spring Hill, Ronald Jay (Dawn) Stewart of Columbia, Richard (Kandace) Stewart of Pickerington, Ohio, and Natalie Carmal (Sean) Hansen of Antioch; sisters, Elvira Jacobson, Colleen Loveland, Pat Gittens, and Judy Olson, all of Ogden, Utah, and LaDawn Manning of Sierra Vista, Arizona; brother, Craig Sherwood of Ogden, Utah; twelve grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Pallbearers are Landon Mouser, Tate Mouser, Bryson Mouser, Christian Mouser, Ronnie Odom, Ronnie Pennington, and Evan Stewart...
