View Video Tributes Sara Elizabeth McKee Weatherford, 78, retired Maury County school teacher and resident of Camelot Drive, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at her daughter's residence on Sunnyside Drive. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery. On December 25, 1952 she married Don Weatherford who preceded her in death December 8, 2002. Mrs. Weatherford taught school for twenty-one years at Spring Hill High School. She was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Beth (Pat) O'Conner of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Beckie Weatherford of Columbia; son, Donnie (Patti) Weatherford of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; grandchildren, Justice (Sabine) Johnson, Rachel (Joe Groke) Jones, Valerie (Daniel) Jones, Chip Weatherford, Kimmy Weatherford, Meghan Pipkin; five great-grandchildren; sister, Ann McKee; and brother, Lee McKee. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold McKee. Pallbearers will be Andy McKee, Michael Potts, Gary Tucker, Michael Parker, Ben Pruitt and Richard Callahan.
