View Video Tribute Sara Darnell Jarratt Wells, 103, retired saleslady, died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at NHC Franklin. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Chip Hunter and Rev. Joe Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery in the Theta Community. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She was a long-time member of Theta United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wells was a saleslady at Anderson Brothers & Foster and Woldridge Drug Company in downtown Columbia for a number of years. She first married Otey Sparkman Jarratt who died in 1962. Later, she married Jimmy Wells who died in 1982. Survivors include her daughter, Jean Jarratt (Stanton) Gunnells of Franklin; grandchildren, Greg (Connie) Gunnells of Franklin, Karen (Tommy) Jones of Franklin, Kim (Randy) Pomeroy of Columbia, and Mary (Nicholas "Nicky") Meador of Hendersonville; great-grandchildren, Jarratt Morgan (Lindsey) Gunnells, Clint Austin (Amanda) Gunnells, Benjamin David Meador, Daniel Marchesi Jones, and Gatlin Watson Jones; great-great-grandchildren, Japeth Isaiah Gunnells, Isaac William Gunnells, Lillie Elizabeth Gunnells, Cadence Turner, Aynslee Hope Gunnells, and Payton Emersyn Gunnells, Ethan Josiah Gunnells. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Jarratt Wise in 1987. Serving as pallbearers are Greg Gunnells, Jarratt Gunnells, Clint Gunnells, Tommy Jones, Daniel Jones, Gatlin Jones, Randy Pomeroy, Nicholas "Nicky" Meador, Benjamin Meador, Donny Walters, and Troy Holman.
