View Funeral Webcast Sarah Louise Pugh Hand, 87, retired assistant manager of the Children's Department at Parks-Belk, died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at her residence in Killen, Alabama. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Hughes Bassham Pugh and Sally Pinnie Love Pugh and a graduate of Columbia Central High School. Mrs. Hand was a long-time member of West Seventh Street Church of Christ and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by a son, Lawson Wayne White, Sr. Survivors include her husband, Wilton Collin Hand of Murfreesboro; son, Daniel R. (Leslie) White of Lewisburg; sister, Eunice Pugh Harrison Ringenberg of Killen, Alabama; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Burnett of Brentwood, Daniel Collin White of Hohenwald, Jill White Petty of Columbia, Jane Hilda (Jason) Scharsch of Chapel Hill, Lawson Wayne White, Jr. of Brooklyn, New York, Ashley Elizabeth Ables of Decatur, Alabama, and Alexandria Nicole Ables of Lewisburg; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
