Sarah Rebecca Parks White Hutto, 85, real estate icon and longtime resident of Skyview Drive, died Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. David Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Riverside United Methodist Church, 313 Sixth Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401 or Scholarship Foundation at Southern Middle Tennessee Area Realtors, 304 River Road, Columbia, TN 38401. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Douglas R. Parks and Pauline Pigg Parks. The 1949 graduate of Columbia Central High School became associated with Early-Akin Realty Group and later Early-White Realty before forming partnership with Sally Woodard in White-Woodard Realtors. In 1977 she was the first female president of Middle Tennessee Board of Realtors and was elected Maury County Realtor of the Year in 1983. She was awarded the Distinguished Andy Akin Award in 1995 and in 2004 received the Pioneer Award for showing true leadership qualities and for paving the way for others to enjoy success in the Real Estate profession. In 2007 she received the Career Achievement Award by the Southern Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors and was named Realtor Emeritus for the National Board of Realtors, Tennessee Board of Realtors and Southern Middle Tennessee Board of Realtors in 2008. Real Estate was her life, after family and church, and Sarah was always eager to serve on various committees throughout her fifty years in business. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church and taught Youth Sunday School classes for over fifty years. A very loving and caring person, she had anonymously delivered many presents to needy families and nursing home patients through the years. She was also a former member of the Columbia Jaycettes. Survivors include her husband, Dan Hutto of Columbia; daughter, Linda (Kenny) Johnson of Newburgh, Indiana; sons, Chuck (Karen) Fraser of Hewitt, Texas and Tony (Cristy) White of Etheridge; daughter-in-law, Carnice White of Columbia; step-daughter, Helen (Dick) Peterson of Tampa, Florida; step-son, Danny White of Columbia; grandchildren, Jane Hilda Scharsch, Jill Petty, Lawson White, Jeremy (Rebecca) Johnson, Lindsey (Josh) Early, Adam (Heather) Fraser, Trey (Brandi) Fraser, Travis Fraser, Ashlyn (John) Blevins, Jensen White, Macenze White, Brandon (Leah) Griffin, Justin (Tori) Griffin; thirteen great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by former husband, G. Lawson White; son, Wayne White; brothers, J. C. Parks and Douglas Parks; and twin sister, Barbara Parks Sheddan. Active pallbearers will be Kenny Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Josh Early, Brandon Griffin, Justin Griffin, John Blevins, Lawson White, and Trey Fraser. Honorary pallbearers will include members of Riverside United Methodist Church.
