Sarah Louise Hunt Quirk, 77, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center. She was a longtime resident of the Theta Community of Maury County.

A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Quirk Family Cemetery, 4581 James Jenkins Road, Columbia, Tennessee 38401.Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born on April 22, 1949, in Summertown, Tennessee, Sarah was the daughter of the late John Wright Hunt and the late Flora Adabell Rubert Hunt. On July 22, 1985, she married Clyde Quirk, and they shared over four decades of marriage together.

Sarah dedicated nineteen years of her career to Oxydental Chemical Company, where she worked as a kiln operator and held several other positions. Following her retirement from Occidental, she successfully operated her own housecleaning business.

Above all else, Sarah treasured her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved and creating a warm and welcoming home. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—fishing, tending her garden, raising beautiful flowers, reading, shopping, and watching hummingbirds. One of her favorite daily traditions was watching her beloved soap opera, Days of Our Lives, a time she reserved for herself and insisted she not be disturbed.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Clyde Quirk; her children, Carla Richter, David (Marilyn) Quirk, Rodney (Angel) Hunt, Donna Kennedy, and Denise Helmick; her sister, Emma Anderson; her brother, Alonzo Hunt; her grandchildren, Sarah (Logan) Hankins, Heather Potts, Jesse Helmick, Matthew Helmick, Dylan Seisser, John (Shannah) Kennedy, Justin Kennedy, Jennifer (Logan) Bivins, Shelby (Wesley) Foss, Christian (Chason) Shadix, and Hannah (Luke) Beachy; and her great-grandchildren, Reagan, Marly, Noah, Kallie, Aden, Easton, Will, Kelton, Hardin, Beau, Cheyenne, Remington, and Allie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Adam Quirk, and her siblings, Manny Hunt, James Hunt, Russell Hunt, and Glenda Hunt.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
