Sarah Ramsey

Sarah Elizabeth McCoy Ramsey, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away December 17, 2025 on her 81st birthday at Life Care Center of Columbia.

She was born on December 17, 1944 in Booneville, Mississippi to the late Julius Bolen McCoy and the late Bessie Faye Goff McCoy. She retired from Delta Airlines after 25 years as a reservationist. Sarah had many interests including entertaining friends and family in her home, loved traveling, and church activities but one of her greatest joys came from spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Goodman Oaks Church of Christ in Olive Branch, Mississippi.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Lana Elise and Jared Harrelson of Summertown; brother and sister in law, Robert Sidney (Betty Frances) McCoy; two grandchildren, Josie Grace Harrelson Prentice (Landon) and Parker Thomas Harrelson (Evan); and four nieces and four nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Julia Ann McCoy Breidenstein in 2014.
