Born in Nashville, "Scotty" was a sports enthusiast, and especially fond of the Dallas Cowboys and softball. A spiritual person by nature, he loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and swimming. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Faye Fowler of Culleoka; father, John A. "Tony" Maddox of Southport; daughter, Holly Fowler of Columbia; grandson, Kaleb Fowler of Columbia; half-sister, Brandy Jones and Megan Maddox; half-brother, Kurt Maddox; paternal grandparents, Corinne and John Maddox; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandparents, Leslie and Bessie Layne.
