Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with President William Grayson and Bishop Douglas Fry officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born May 26, 1978 in Wilmington, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Douglas and Debbie McKinney Fry of Columbia. Shannon earned her Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University. Her responsibilities at the Health Department included researching grants and fundraising programs. She was also a social worker for The Family Center. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband whom she married December 1, 2001, Ryan Daniel Paligo of Columbia; two daughters, Brooke Leslie Paligo and Courtney Megan Paligo, both of Columbia; two brothers, Kevin Douglas (Kristen) Fry of Mishawaka, Indiana and Gregory Logan (Sarah) Fry of Murfreesboro; paternal grandfather, Donald W. Fry of Bremerton, Washington; and maternal grandparents, John & Shirley McKinney of Wilmington, North Carolina.
