View Funeral Webcast Sheila Falls Evrard, 65, retired employee of Southern Bell Telephone Company, died Friday, February 13, 2015 at her residence on Covey Hollow Road in the Culleoka Community. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols concluding with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Notes of condolence may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born October 24, 1949 in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Jim Falls and Jean Marie Pendergast Falls. Mrs. Evrard graduated from Norland High School in Miami, Florida. She met the love of her life, Charles Evrard, while living in Florida and they eventually moved to North Carolina, finally settling in their beautiful home in the Culleoka Community fifteen years ago. A writer and a poet, she also enjoyed reading, working out, and enjoyed animals and exploring nature. She truly lived life to its fullest, embracing new experiences with her husband. She had a 34-year career with Southern Bell Telephone, with experiences as an operator, assignment coordinator, engineer drafts person and repair. A very charitable person and always willing to lend a helping hand, she did not hesitate to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew, especially using her expertise in technical repair and other experiences with Southern Bell. Mrs. Evrard was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Charles "Chuck" Evrard, whom she married in October, 1988; daughters, Jacqueline "Jackie" Evrard-Vescio and husband, Gary, of Palm City, Florida, Tracey Evrard Litwin and husband, Kevin, of Kansas City, Kansas, and Angela Evrard Kinzel and husband, Thomas, of Jerson Beach, Florida; son, Kerry Evrard; and brother, Steven Falls and wife, Debra, of Lake Placid, Florida; and several grandchildren.
