Shelby Anderson Vandiver

View Video TributeMrs. Shelby Jean Anderson Vandiver, 75, resident of Kerr Hill Road in Lynnville, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 12:00 noon at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jeremy Butt officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Nathan Anderson and Elizabeth Blocker Anderson. She was a retired executive housekeeper for Ramada Inn. Mrs. Vandiver enjoyed camping and was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of fifty three years, George Anderson Vandiver of Lynnville; sons, Jeff Vandiver of Lynnville, James (Cathy) Vandiver of Pulaski, Wayne (Paula) Vandiver of Columbia; brother, Raymond (Sarah) Anderson of Columbia; sisters, Helen Massey and Sylvia (Bobby) Cook both of Columbia; grandchildren, Michael (Danielle) Vandiver, Patrick Vandiver, Amanda Vandiver, April (Clint) Owens, Makayla Vandiver; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Rebecca Jones. Pallbearers include Randy "Buzz" Floyd, Bobby Floyd, Michael Vandiver, Patrick Vandiver, Joe Hills and Clint Owens.
