Sherry Taylor Allen

Sherry Taylor Allen, 62, a former registered nurse and resident of Franklin, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 p.m. in Polk Memorial Gardens with John Harris officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Woodstock, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Glen Taylor and Patricia Hannah Taylor. She spent most of her life in Columbia and graduated from Columbia Central High School and Columbia State Community College. She was Director of Home Health Care at Methodist Hospital in Somerville and was a member of United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Rachael (Drake) Stanfill of Franklin, Heather (Allen) Tetleton of Germantown and four grandchildren, Lauren Tetleton, Grayson Stanfill, William Stanfill and Emma Tetleton.
