Shirley Ann Davis

Shirley Ann Dale Davis, 76, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Shirley was born at home in Mt. Pleasant, TN. She was married for 56 years to loving husband, Terry Davis. She worked at Publix Shirt Factory in Columbia, TN and Hyperion Seating in Lewisburg, TN. Shirley lived in Columbia, TN for 66 years then after retirement moved to Foley, AL for 10 years to live near the beach that she loved so much. Her family meant everything to her. She loved the beaches on the Gulf and the Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee, and a fun car ride anywhere. Shirley was the most incredible southern cook. She took a lot of pride in her family, home, and yard. She was so very special to so many people. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Everett Dale, and Ruth Vandygriff Dale; her beloved son, James Preston Davis; siblings, Faye Dale Baker, Imogene Dale Scott and Lynn Dale (infant brother). She is survived by her husband, James Terry Davis of Foley, AL; daughter, Shannon Davis (David Gibson) of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Jessica Spears (Jimmy Marshall) of Columbia, TN, Kayla Fleming (Drake) of Clarksville, TN; great grandchildren, Mason Marshall of Columbia, TN, Avery and Mack Fleming of Clarksville, TN; brothers, Glynn Dale (Helen), very special brother, Ernest “Hop” Dale, and Danny Dale all of Columbia, TN. As per her instructions, no services will be conducted. There will be a private service with immediate family at her favorite beach. As thoughts are so appreciated, please no flowers. The family would like to give special thanks to EMS and Air Evac Life Team, Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, FL, Dr. Terry Neil and ICU Unit, Dr. Jan Davis and Covenant Hospice, nurses, Daniella and Heather with Covenant Hospice and Rickie Varner (Joyce) a special neighbor.
