Sue Hulin Galloway

Susan Katherine "Sue" Hulin Galloway, 95, resident of Earnest Hawkins Road, died Monday, July 16, 2012 at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with John Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Knob Creek Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Beech Grove Church of Christ, P.O. Box 55, Spring Hill, TN, 37174. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Hardin County, Mrs. Galloway was the daughter of the late Thomas A. Hulin and Martha J. Harbin Hulin. On March 4, 1940 she married Raymond H. Galloway who preceded her in death August 23, 1991. She was a hairdresser in Columbia for many years at various salons the last of which was Three Sisters where she worked alongside Frankie Harris, Jesse Warrington and Mary Hulin. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking for her family. Mrs. Galloway was a member of Beech Grove Church of Christ. Survivors include her children, Jerry (Connie) Galloway of Pulaski, Jane Moody of Houston, Texas, Wanda (Richard) Walter of Lawrenceburg, John Galloway of Burns; sisters, Frankie Harris and Jo Rhodes both of Columbia; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, James F. "Jim" Galloway; son-in-law, Jerry Moody; daughter-in-law, Prebble Galloway; sisters, Mary Hulin, Jesse Warrington; and four brothers. Active pallbearers will be Richard Walter, Michael Walter, John Gordon, Luke Warf, Jake Warf, Eddie Warf, Ryan Warf and Noah Walter. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John Simmons, Dr. Tim Gordon, Dr. Stephen Parey, and friends of Beech Grove Church of Christ.
