View Funeral Webcast Mrs. Susan Boyd Beasley, 65, a resident of Lynnville, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at Donelson Church of Christ Friday, November 5th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services for Mrs. Beasley will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. A graveside service, lead by Milton Stephens, will follow at Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.. The family requests that masks be worn and the CDC guidelines on social distancing be followed. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The family suggests memorials be made to AGAPE Nashville 4555 Trousdale Drive Nashville, Tennessee 37204. Born October 20, 1956, she was the daughter of the late BB Boyd, Jr. and the late Mary Katherine Hooberry Boyd. She married William Larry “Bo” Beasley on October 12, 2002 who preceded her in death on December 22, 2015. Mrs. Beasley received her B.S. Degree from Lipscomb University and went on to receive a Master of Library Science from MTSU. She was the librarian at Pennington Elementary School in Nashville and while at Pennington she was the Teacher of the Year Recipient and retired from Metro Nashville Public Schools. Mrs. Beasley was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed mother-daughter time, tea parties and reading with granddaughters and lunches with friends, not to mention time with her dogs. She was a member of the Lynnville Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Elizabeth Sayers; son, Wesley Matthew (Liz) Sayers; grandchildren, Jonathan, Allyson, Lyndee, Margaret, Ellen and Hattie Grace; brother, David (Linda) Boyd; sisters, Rebecca (Jeff) Wallen and Emily (Cary) Gray; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Agee, David Boyd, Parker Boyd, Wyatt Boyd, Patrick Boyd and Nathan Burton. The family would like to extend special thanks to Leigh & Jennifer Brymer for their love and care.
