View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Suzanne Lloyd "Suzy" Evans, 54, died Saturday, May 5, 2012 at her Battle Place residence in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. David Filson officiating. The family will visit with friends from 5:30 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis. The family suggests memorials to The King's Daughters School, 412 West Ninth Street, Columbia 38401; Association for Retarded Children, The Arc, 1825 K Street NW, Suite 1200, Washington, DC 20006; or Special Olympics Tennessee, 1900 12th Avenue South, Nashville 37203. Notes of sympathy may be sent to oakesandnichols.com. Born in Memphis, she was the daughter of the late Milton Lee "Sam" Evans and Oneita Cox Evans. While a resident of Memphis, she was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church on Highland Avenue and worked with the Sheltered Workshop for several years. Miss Evans came to Columbia to make her home at The King's Daughters School in 1987 and since that time has been a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her sisters, Sydney Evans (Larry) Catlett of Nashville and Alice Evans Jackson of Houston, Texas; niece, Emma Lloyd Catlett and nephew, Evan Henry Catlett.
