View Video Tribute View Funeral WebcastTerry Eugene "Bones" Odom, 65, resident of Fly Road in Santa Fe, died Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Matthew Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 -8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Ollie Wilson Odom and Ruth Christine "Short" Russell Odom. He attended Haylong High School. He was long-time truck driver and worked for Floyd & Floyd Contactors, Buford Trucking, Fox Trucking, Gibson Oil and more recently Stoney's Auto Salvage. Mr. Odom loved old antique cars and going to "Frog Follies". He enjoyed wrestling, buck dancing, and going to car races, especially dirt track races. He found his greatest joy spoiling his grandchildren and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Brenda Rochelle Odom of Santa Fe, whom he married December 19, 1980; sons, Bruce (Lori) Odom of Columbia, and Justin (Katie Satterwhite) Odom of Columbia; grandchildren, Mason Alan Odom and Kinzley Ruth Odom both of Columbia; sisters, Sara (Kenneth) Jenkins of Columbia; Jewelldean (Larry) Brown of Columbia; Gayle (Jim) Powell of Mt. Pleasant; and Peggy (Ricky) Garrett of Giles County; brothers, Charles (Tiny) Odom of Columbia; Ray "Gabby" (Marie) Odom of Columbia; and Larry (Shirley) Odom of Mt. Pleasant; special friends, Mike Floyd, Bobby Floyd, Boyd Malugin, and Vicki Wood. He was preceded in death by sister, Linda King; brothers, Olene Odom, Cleveland Odom and Eddie Dean Odom. Active pallbearers will be Derrick Powell, Scott Odom, Guy Odom, Steve Odom, Dakota Cheek, Gregg Love, Junior Cates, and James Harlan. Honorary pallbearers include employees of Floyd & Floyd Contractors and Stoney's Auto Salvage.
