Thomas Wayne Riddle

Mr. Thomas Wayne Riddle, 76, retired employee of Union Carbide, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Andrew Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 P.M. -7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Woodford County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Robert Coleman Riddle and Ernesteen Eaves Riddle. He was a 1958 graduate of Columbia Central High School and served in U.S. Army. Mr. Riddle was an avid Tennessee football fan and enjoyed westerns. A music enthusiast, he was a member of "The Rebel Tones" during his teenage years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Martha Jean Riddle of Lexington, Tennessee; son, Brian Thomas (Kristy) Riddle of Humboldt, Tennessee; daughter, Nikki Simko of Decaturville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Logan Riddle, Brayden Riddle, Zachary Thomas Berry, Dorothy Collins, Johnathan Ray Price, Wayne Riddle, and Shane Riddle; great grandchildren, Jordan, Allie, Willow Mae, and Albert, III; brothers, Don (Linda) Riddle of Hendersonville, and Jim (Juanita) Riddle of Columbia; sisters, Joyce Riley of Culleoka, and Joanne (Bill) Grissom of Columbia; step-daughter, Diana Collins; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Wayne Riddle. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
