View Funeral Webcast View Video TributeTommy Austin Rich, 61, lift-operator for Stanfill Lumber Company for 35 years and resident of Scribner's Mill Community, died Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Life Care of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be extended at oakesandnichols.com. Born in the Jamestown Community in Fentress County, he was the son of the late Estel Rich and Edna Creselious Rich. Mr. Rich enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. Survivors include his wife, Linda Graham Rich, whom he married December 24, 1995; step-children, Cindy Moore of Culleoka, Wanda Presley of Shelbyville, Beverly Rich of Culleoka, Nelson Mealer of Mt. Pleasant, Jeff Mealer and William Mealer of Lewisburg; sister, Patsy Crabtree of Indiana; brothers, Boyd (Andrea) Rich of Columbia and Johnny (Beverly) Rich of Culleoka; several step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are Andrew Rich, William Rich, Jim Rich, Jerry Rich, David Young, Ronald Cates. Gene Rich and Donnie Seabolt will serve as honorary pallbearers.
