View Funeral Webcast Tyler Edward Allen Pederson, 15, resident of Hayes-Denton Road and former longtime resident of Countryside Village, died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Nichols and Betty Clot officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 12 - 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Gillette, Wyoming Tyler was the son of Theodore Harvey Hill of Gillette, Wyoming and Dawn Wright Pederson (fiance, Scott Cooper) of Columbia. He was a sophomore at Central High School and loved skateboarding and baseball. As an organ donor Tyler will continue to live through the people who receive his "Gift of Life." In addition to his parents Tyler is survived by a brother, Christopher Onkka of Columbia; two sisters, Stacy Mills of Gillette, Wyoming and Alicia Voorhees (Forrest) of Mt. Pleasant; girlfriend, Kayla Krieger of Columbia; maternal grandparents, Terry and Connie Taylor of Billings, Montana; paternal grandparents, Ted and Zelma Hill of Gillette, Wyoming; maternal great-grandmother, Evelyn Taylor of Billings, Montana; four nieces; one nephew; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Christopher Onkka, Gary Powell, Cody Medley, Jacob Craig, Chase Munn and Jeffery Moore.
