Ullie Marie Yokley Weatherford

View Video TributeView Funeral Service Webcast Ullie Marie Yokley Weatherford, 84, former long-time resident of River Heights and retired from Publix Manufacturing Company, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 7, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Hubert Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to St. Luke United Methodist Church., P. O. Box 1796, Columbia 38402. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Ward S. Yokley and Lydia Alice Dickey Yokley. She was a long-time, faithful member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She married William Ernest Weatherford August 2, 1950. Their 42 year marriage ended with his death October 10, 1992. Survivors include her daughter, Patsy (Carter) Johnson; son, Ricky (Pam) Weatherford; grandchildren, Jennifer Haley, Amy (Chad) Edwards, and Monica Weatherford; great-grandchildren, Patrick Haley, Matthew Haley, Emily Edwards, and Megan Edwards; and sister-in-law, Hattie Weatherford; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Sadie Fincher and Lois Gaines and brothers, Felix Yokley, Arlin Yokley, Smith Yokley, and A. D. Yokley.
